SIDE Law Office is registered under SIRET N°51027016800022. Its registered office is located at 32 rue Fortuny, 75017 PARIS (hereinafter the “SIDE Law Office”).

The website www.side-law.com is edited and published by SIDE Law Office (hereinafter “the Website”).

I. General conditions

SIDE LAW OFFICE processes personal data in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and in particular the French Data Protection Act n°78-17 of January 6, 1978 in its current version and the EU Regulation 2016/679 known as “RGPD” (hereinafter together “The Applicable Regulation”).

Capitalized legal terms used herein shall have the meanings set forth in the GDPR and in particular as follows:

Personal Data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an “identifiable natural person” is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to his/her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity (hereinafter “PD” or “Personal Data”).

Controller: the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union law or by the law of a Member State, the Controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be laid down by Union or Member State law.

Processor: the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the Controller.

Processing: means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

The Personal Data for which SIDE Law Office is the Controller mainly concerns its clients, its prospect clients and partners, its partners and its employees.

SIDE Law Office may be required to process the Personal Data communicated by its partners in the capacity of a subcontractor.
The concerned Personal Data are essentially identification and location data (name, telephone numbers, email, addresses, IP, etc.) but also data concerning personal life, profession, and/or tax and financial information (family situation, profession, RIB, etc).

Each Processing for which SIDE Law Office is the Controller has its own purpose as described below.

Failure to provide the required Personal Data may prevent SIDE Law Office from fulfilling the purpose(s) of each Processing.

Any Processing for which SIDE Law Office is responsible is, as much as possible, carried out with the consent of the individual, otherwise carried out in application of another applicable legal basis and for the strict necessities of the purpose pursued.

SIDE Law Office protects Personal Data through physical and technological measures to ensure its security, confidentiality, integrity and availability, in accordance with Applicable Regulation.

The recipients of this Personal Data are SIDE Law Office, its employees and subordinates and any professional partners necessarily under contract with SIDE Law Office to achieve the purpose of each Processing.

Some recipients are located outside the European Union and in the USA in particular.

These recipients guarantee the same level of protection for Personal Data as SIDE Law Office.

Individuals have, regarding their Personal Data, the right to ask SIDE Law Office to access, rectify, delete, limit or port them in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Applicable Regulation.

They also have the right to object at any time to the use of their Personal Data for prospecting purposes.

These individuals also have the right to file a complaint to a supervisory authority, such as the CNIL.

II. Specific conditions

A) WHEN YOU PROVIDE SIDE LAW OFFICE WITH YOUR PD ON THE “CONTACT US” PAGE OF THE WEBSITE

The Personal Data you provide on this page is processed by SIDE Law Office on the basis of Article 6 §1 f) of the GDPR, that is for the purposes of the legitimate interest of the Controller to deal with any question/comments addressed to it, and only in order to respond to that specific question and/or comment stated in the “message” box of this page.

These Personal Data are retained by SIDE Law Office for the time it takes to process your question/message. They will then be deleted maximum within 30 days.

B) WHEN YOU PROVIDE SIDE LAW OFFICE WITH YOUR PD DURING AN EVENT ORGANIZED BY SIDE LAW OFFICE (INFORMATION SESSIONS, TRAINING, ETC)

SIDE Law Office organizes information sessions, trainings, conferences and various events (hereinafter “the Event”).

The Personal Data you provide in this context is processed by SIDE Law Office on the legal basis of Article 6 §1 b) of the RGPD in execution of its contractual or pre-contractual obligations towards you when providing you with the services related to the Event and its follow-up.

These Personal Data are retained by SIDE Law Office for the duration of the Event services and their follow-up.

C) WHEN YOU PROVIDE YOUR DP TO SIDE LAW OFFICE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF ITS LEGAL SERVICES

Within the framework of the legal services you purchase and/or obtain in any way from SIDE Law Office (hereinafter “the Services”) you provide some PD which are processed by SIDE Law Office on the legal basis of GDPR provision 6 §1 b) and c) to allow SIDE Law Office to perform its pre-contractual or contractual obligations towards you within the framework of its legal services, but also to fulfill its own legal obligations concerning money laundering, etc.

The PD will be retained for the time needed to perform the Services that they relate to, and also for the duration of the legal statute of limitation related thereto.

D) WHEN YOU INDICATE THAT YOU WANT TO RECEIVE NEWSLETTERS AND COMMERCIAL OFFERS FROM SIDE LAW OFFICE

When on the Website or any other document published by SIDE Law Office you check the following box :
